Best in Tourism Award
This award celebrates the outstanding contribution of local tourism related businesses in attracting visitors to the area and delivering excellence in customer service that enhances the profile of the Borough.
Who Should Apply?
This award category is open to all tourism related businesses including: hotels, guesthouses, bed & breakfasts, parks, leisure complexes, museums, galleries, outdoor activity groups and any other facility that attracts tourists to the area.
How To Enter
Applicants will be assessed in two stages.
Stage One: Applicants should provide the following information on company letterhead no later than 5pm on Thursday 31st March 2011 to Coleraine Borough Business Awards, Coleraine Borough Chamber, 2 Abbey Street, Coleraine, BT52 1DS.
- A company profile including company history, services offered, details of facilities a description of targeted customer segments and an outline of current market conditions. (max 500 words)
- A summary of your marketing strategy (2009 and 2010) and how you have implemented it to achieve your company objectives explaining how you have overcome any obstacles. (max 500 words)
- Define your business's competitive edge over other industry competitors? (max 500 words)
- Please detail how you contribute to the Borough's Tourism Industry. (max 500 words)
Stage Two: Stage Two will be judged by Mystery Shoppers/Telephone Interviews who will assess:
- First Impressions.
- Telephone manner.
- Acknowledgement and Greeting.
- Customer Care.
- Range of Services Offered.
- Product Knowledge.
- General Interaction with the Customer
- Meeting/Exceeding Customer Expectations
