DETI Minister addresses Causeway Chamber’s Annual Dinner

 

Causeway Chamber of Commerce was delighted to welcome over 120 guests to hear Enterprise Trade and Investment, Minister Arlene Foster and Jim Fitzpatrick Economics and Business Editor for BBC NI address their Annual Dinner in the Lodge Hotel on Thursday 27^th October. 

The evening was a great success and attracting Minister Arlene Foster and Jim Fitzpatrick is a testament to the ongoing efforts of Causeway Chamber to support local businesses and to put this region firmly on the map as “A Great Place to do Business”.

Arlene Foster spoke at length on the key aspects of the Programme for Government and reiterating that the Executive’s top priority is to grow the economy.

Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster said: “In the current economic climate, many businesses aspire to grow and develop but lack the confidence to do so. This is having a detrimental impact on investment, exports and job creation.

 

“We need to equip businesses to manage their way through the current challenging economic conditions, and over the course of the next few months Invest Northern Ireland will be launching a suite of practical measures under its ‘Boosting Business’ initiative designed to support business. These will include initiatives to broaden support to a wider business base and to make it easier for business to apply for and receive support. 

 

“By working in partnership with District Councils and other economic development stakeholders such as the Chamber of Commerce we can help to stimulate private sector growth to create more jobs.”
