Best Start up Business
This award recognises the achievements of an exceptional new business that has shown strong foundations, innovative thinking, and clear potential for future growth. It celebrates entrepreneurs who have successfully launched a new venture, exceeded initial expectations, and demonstrated resilience, adaptability, and ambition in their first stages of development.
Who should apply?
Open to businesses that began trading after January 2023 and have been operating for at least 18 to 24 months by the date of application. Applicants should be able to show how they have differentiated themselves in the market, taken an innovative approach, and laid the groundwork for sustainable long-term success.
Judges will focus primarily on growth potential, innovation, and strategic direction, rather than current turnover or profit alone.

Established in 1984, Enterprise Causeway has been at the heart of social and economic development across the Causeway Coast and Glens.
We are dedicated to empowering aspiring entrepreneurs and supporting small businesses through tailored training, mentoring, advisory programmes, and networking opportunities , all with the goal of nurturing sustainable businesses and vibrant communities.
In October 2024, we proudly unveiled The Courthouse in Bushmills, a beautifully restored Grade B1 listed building, now a dynamic creative hub for artists, makers, community groups, and visitors.
Over the years, our reach and impact have grown significantly. Today, we manage six tenant sites across Coleraine, Kilrea, Ballymoney, Ballycastle, and Bushmills, supporting over 100 businesses. Together, these enterprises contribute nearly £50 million to the local economy and provide employment for more than 300 people.
