Welcome to #OpenYourMind – a remarkable mental health awareness and fundraising campaign created by locally based charity Hummingbird Causeway with the support of The R&A at The Open 2025 at Royal Portrush. 

In Causeway Coast & Glens some £255 million per year is lost to the local economy because of work-related stress and mental ill-health – on average just shy of £3000 per working-age person per year in our Council Area.  It’s clear that, in our modern world, finding and delivering effective, sustainable solutions to huge societal issues, such as our growing mental health crisis, can’t be the sole responsibility of Government acting alone.  It is only by harnessing the power of THE WHOLE COMMUNITY that affordable, sustainable, impactful outcomes will be created.  

The Business Community has a key role to play in this by investing in innovative, preventative, early intervention initiatives within their workplaces. But first we are calling on all local business leaders to “Be a Part of the Solution” by sponsoring or donating to this unique campaign – creating a rich and impactful legacy of sustainable mental health projects well beyond The Open.  So, it’s #OnYourMarks to #OpenYourMind and the minds of your people!
