Keep Calm and Prepare for GDPR
This practical event will help businesses with the final practical steps to be GDPR compliant before 25th May. It will provide advice, guidance and tools to meet the requirements of the new legislation. At our previous GDPR event, attendees really wanted to know how to prepare for this on a practical level and how GDPR will impact on their day-to-day business.
At this workshop you will learn:
• What is GDPR all about?
• Record keeping
• Privacy statements
• Processing data
• What your organisation will need to do to ensure it is compliant by 25th May
You will leave the event with practical examples on how to become GDPR compliant.
Advice and personal experiences will be provided by Anne Marie McGoldrick from MCG Services who is a practitioner in GDPR, Roy Toner, Managing Director and Principal Consulatnt of JALARO Associates and Philip Bain co-owner of multi award winning company ShredBank, Northern Ireland’s largest on-site document shredding company.
Attendees will hear how Anne Marie and Roy is helping clients to be GDPR compliant and Philip will share his experience on how ShredBank has adapted to become GDPR compliant and lessons learned along the way.
We will also be joined by Claire Wilson of Edward & Co Solicitors who will be on hand to cover the legal aspects of GDPR. Claire has taken the lead in providing clients with advice on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), its implications, and how they should best prepare for the changes which will be enforced from May 2018.
