Eakin Healthcare is proud to announce it has been awarded the Diversity Mark accreditation, recognising the organisation’s ongoing commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive workplace culture.
The accreditation is a significant milestone in Eakin Healthcare’s journey to embed equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) across all aspects of its business. Awarded by Diversity Mark, the accreditation recognises organisations that demonstrate measurable commitment to building inclusive workplaces where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to thrive.
“We are incredibly proud to receive the Diversity Mark accreditation,” said Padraic Dempsey, CEO, Eakin Healthcare. “This recognition reflects the efforts of our entire team in fostering a culture that embraces difference, encourages open dialogue, and champions equal opportunity. At Eakin Healthcare, we believe that diversity drives innovation and inclusion strengthens our ability to positively impact the lives of our customers, our colleagues, and our communities.”
Eakin Healthcare has introduced a range of impactful initiatives to promote greater inclusivity across the organisation. These include the delivery of inclusive leadership training, the launch of an Early Talent programme, participation in the Athena Women’s Leadership Programme, and the introduction of enhanced family-friendly policies. The company has also signed up to Business in the Community’s Opening Doors campaign, reinforcing its commitment to inclusive recruitment practices, and is actively working to improve representation at all levels of the business.
“This accreditation is not the end of the journey – it’s a marker of progress and a motivator to keep going,” said Dara Irwin, Head of HR – Infrastructure. “We’re focused on continuous improvement and are committed to taking further steps to ensure Eakin Healthcare remains a place where everyone feels welcome, supported, and able to succeed.”
The Diversity Mark framework provides a structured approach to setting, assessing, and achieving diversity and inclusion goals. It supports organisations in identifying areas for improvement and celebrates best practice, helping to drive meaningful change in workplaces across Northern Ireland and beyond.
“We are delighted to award Eakin Healthcare the Diversity Mark accreditation in recognition of their commitment to creating a more inclusive workplace,” said Christine White, Director, Diversity Mark. “Eakin Healthcare has shown real leadership through their actions and initiatives, demonstrating that diversity and inclusion are integral to their culture and business strategy. We commend their progress and look forward to supporting them on the next stage of their journey.”
