WORLD CLASS BY NATURE LIVE 2026

WORLD CLASS BY NATURE is a new annual event celebrating the people, ideas and ambition that make the Causeway Coast a global stage. Taking place during NW200 week, the event brings together elite athletes, business leaders and innovators to explore what it takes to perform and succeed at the highest level.
The event will mark the official launch of Causeway Coast and Glens Local Economic Partnership, a collaborative body established by Department of Economy to drive locally lead economic development and improve regional balance. World Class by Nature is a new initiative funded by the LEP in partnership with Causeway Chamber. The event will showcase innovations from Ulster University, NRC and NWRC.

Darren Cave, former Ulster Rugby and Ireland national rugby union team center. Across a distinguished professional career, Darren earned over a decade of appearances at the highest level of the game and represented Ireland on the international stage.
Glenn Irwin, a multiple race winner in the British Superbike Championship and a familiar face on podiums at the North West 200. Glenn is widely recognised as one of Northern Ireland’s top superbike talents and brings valuable insight into life competing on factory-supported machinery at international level.
Callum Devine, Irish Tarmac Rally Championship champion and one of Ireland’s standout rally drivers. Known for his speed, precision and calm approach behind the wheel of his Hyundai Rally2 machinery, Callum represents the new generation of Irish motorsport competing at the highest level nationwide.
Neil McManus, one of the most influential players in the history of Antrim GAA. A prolific scorer and inspirational leader over many seasons, Neil has also enjoyed tremendous success at club level with Cushendall Shamrocks, earning widespread respect for his commitment, consistency and dedication to promoting hurling across the county.
The initiative is designed to drive innovation and growth from the region, strengthen links between local businesses, education providers and regional stakeholders, and provide an ongoing platform for networking, knowledge sharing and partnership development to support sustainable economic growth across the wider Northwest region. The involvement of Ulster University, NRC and NWRC reflects the importance of strengthening pathways between education and employment, supporting skills development and helping retain talent.
Hosted by BBC presenter Stephen Watson, the evening features candid conversations with champions from sport alongside leaders from business and innovation.
