SUMMARY:Site visit to Nicobrand
DESCRIPTION:Chamber Members are invited to join us for a site visit to Nicobrand \nNicobrand is recognised globally as pioneer in the manufacture and supply of nicotine active pharmaceutical ingredients.  These ingredients are used in traditional Nicotine Replacement Therapies (NRT) such as gums\, lozenges and patches. Nicobrand has been a prominent player in this industry for over 25 years and has been established in Coleraine since 1982\, however it can trace its roots back to 1906 in the US. In the early 1980s Nicobrand began the journey towards purifying nicotine. This persistence led to the creation of an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) that can be consumed safely. Nicobrand dared to be different and in doing so\, has helped to pave the way forward for harm reduction products and create awareness of the benefits of using a highly purified nicotine molecule. This spirit of science-led innovation continues to keep us ahead in a market that never stops changing. \n*Please note this tour is for Members ONLY

SUMMARY:REVAL2023 Information Event
DESCRIPTION:Land & Property Services (LPS) has released draft valuations of almost 75\,000 businesses in Northern Ireland. \nAngela McGrath\, Commissioner of Valuation and Gary Humphrey\, NI Reval2023 project manager will present at the event and we would encourage all businesses to check their valuation using this link.  https://valuationservices.finance-ni.gov.uk/DraftSchedule/Search \nKnown as Reval2023\, this revaluation process will result in a new non-domestic Valuation List being used to calculate business rate bills from April 2023. \nBusiness rates are charged on most non-domestic premises including shops\, offices\, warehouses\, factories\, hotels and pubs as well as utilities such as gas\, water\, electricity and wind farms. \nThis revaluation has been delivered only three years since the last Valuation List was published in March 2020. This is the shortest time between revaluations ever delivered in any UK jurisdiction and is a response to calls by business ratepayers here for more frequent revaluations. \nAs with all revaluations the outcome can vary for an individual property\, and not all ratepayers will see a reduced rateable valuation. Some sectors and locations have experienced above average growth.
