An event For Female Family Business Leaders In Partnership With Kingsbridge Healthcare Group

As part of our “Female Leaders in Family Business” series, our 3rd event will feature one of NI’s most exciting luxury brands.

Taylor Yates is a very personal brand to Karen Yates and her daughter Ellen. A desire to find a functional, beautiful and sustainably produced handbag led Karen, and fashion graduate daughter Ellen, into setting up Taylor Yates – a company which designs, manufactures and sells designer quality, luxury leather handbags and purses. Karen and Ellen are now part of a new generation of family businesses, Mother and Daughter duos who are making their mark on the world of fashion with this ethical, luxury brand.

Sustainably produced in the UK and sold online and in their Bushmills Store, the bags are made from butter soft leather with Italian lining. Each bag is named after a female relative of Karen and Ellen, honouring the strong, formidable women in their family whose memory deserves to be celebrated.Complementing its leather goods range, Taylor Yates has just launched its first knitwear collection using the finest, ultra-soft 100% merino wool, with pieces expertly hand-knit in Belfast.

 Karen and Ellen will be sharing the Taylor Yates story and their experiences of working together and building a new luxury brand with host Sarah Travers.

We will also be joined by Dr. Roger Brown of Kingsbridge Healthcare Group. Roger has been a GP for over 30 years and works in the North West Hospital in Ballykelly. A resident of Coleraine, he also does some medical coverage with Coleraine FC and his treatment areas include general practice and all it’s guises.

As the resident Doctor at the North West Hospital, Roger will be joining us on the day to talk about general family health matters, and as a specialist in the treatment of joint pain, some advice on how to carry our handbags!
