Be Seen, Be Heard
Be Seen, Be Heard is an initiative to help female experts to get the tools, training and facilitation to participate in media debate, analysis and opinion. The goal of the initiative is to enable local media outlets to access these new, female sources of expertise for a more gender balanced media.
Be Seen Be Heard is a partnership of organisations including Bespoke Communications- BBC, UTV, Politics Plus and Ulster University that is chaired by Susie Brown, Director of Corporate Development, Tourism NI. Ulster University is supporting the initiative financially in its first year.
We will launch at the Belfast Media Festival as part of an Ulster University event on Women and Representation in the Media. http://www.belfastmediafestival.co.uk/events/honeycomb-legacy/ . The event takes place at 9:30am on Friday, November 18th at the MAC in the Cathedral Quarter in Belfast.
