Energy Efficiency Funding to save NI businesses money on their energy bills
Could you be saving money on your energy bills?
Staying competitive in an increasingly challenging market is going to become a bigger priority for businesses in Northern Ireland, and there are costs you can reduce without impacting your productivity.
How? By replacing your out of date and inefficient equipment, such as lighting, heating, air-conditioning units and refrigeration, or by investing in renewables.
As an example, with an Energy Efficiency Loan, funded by Invest Northern Ireland, Beverage Plastics in Craigavon was able to install a new injection moulding machine, which saved them 55% on their energy bills in the first six months, and is estimated to reduce their CO2 emissions by 700 tonnes per annum. Businesses can borrow as little as £3,000 or as much as £400,000 to fund their project, at zero interest. Loans are designed so that in most cases the monthly savings on your energy bills should exceed the monthly repayments, with the repayment term being between 1 and 4 years. This really is a great time to consider reducing your costs to stay ahead of the game.
Loans are administered by the Carbon Trust on behalf of Invest Northern Ireland. For more information, visit the Carbon Trust website at www.carbontrust.com/ni or call 028 9073 4398.
Terms and Conditions and eligibility rules apply.
The Carbon Trust is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority for consumer credit. Representative example of a 0% APR loan: £12,000 loan over 48 months = monthly repayments of £250. Total repayable £12,000.
