Find out more about the IAESTE programme
What does Volvo Sweden, Electrolux Italy and NI’s very own Smiley Monroe have in common? They use the IAESTE programme to fill skills gaps in STEM subjects with high-calibre international graduates. Or perhaps you are a company that is looking to expand in the global markets? Then the IAESTE programme can help!
The IAESTE programme is basically a way to host international students and graduates in the STEM sector, letting you tap into the latest teaching and technology in your field, diversify your workforce and develop international contacts and market knowledge.
Some employers use the programme to fill skills or language gaps on their projects (placements can last anywhere from 6 weeks to 1 year) while others use it to develop their long-term export strategies; the programme’s entirely flexible to fit the needs of the business.
The students are high-calibre, extremely motivated and you get to interview them via skype. It is an entirely employer led scheme - you stipulate the criteria in your job specification - subject field, specialisation, level of study, IT capabilities, language ability, previous practical experience, and even nationality if you wish.
The services we provide are completely free as we are a global non-profit; that includes recruitment, Tier 5 visa sponsorship if needed, assistance with accommodation and a social programme provided by our volunteers here in NI.
