Local Development Plan 2030: Preferred Options Paper Public Consultation

The Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council has published its LDP Preferred Options Paper (‘POP’) for public consultation on Tuesday 26th June 2018. The POP, which is the first of three public consultation documents to be published during the LDP preparation, outlines the Vision and Strategic Objectives of the Council’s LDP. It identifies what the Council considers to be the main strategic land use planning issues affecting this Borough, and outlines a range of possible options to address these, including the Council’s “Preferred Options”.

The POP is accompanied by a Sustainability Appraisal [Scoping and Interim Reports, including Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and Habitats Regulation Assessment (HRA) Baseline Study] an Equality Statement and a range of background papers. From Tuesday 26th June 2018 the documents will be available to view in hard copy at the Council’s Planning Office (9.00am-5.00pm Mon-Fri), at public libraries throughout the Borough and online at: https://www.causewaycoastandglens.gov.uk/live/planning/development-plan

A series of public engagement events are also planned throughout the Borough for the end of July/beginning of August this year. Details of these can also be viewed on the Council’s website.

The Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council welcome any comments you may have on the documents. These should be submitted via the POP Comments Sheet (available on the Council’s website) to: development.plan@causewaycoastandglens.gov.uk

Any comments received will inform the next stage of Plan preparation; The Draft Plan Strategy.

The 12 week public consultation period will end at 5.00pm on Friday 21st September 2018.
