Roadside (Garages) Limited is proud and excited to have chosen Macmillan Cancer Support as their Charity of the Year for 2024!

The Kia and Preloved dealership located in Coleraine has committed all of its annual fundraising efforts this year to support the charity.  The staff are looking forward to participating in and organising a number of fundraising events including taking part in the Giant’s Causeway Mighty Hike this June with around 20 members of staff having committed to walking either the marathon or half marathon route.

Through fundraising for such a great cause they, in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, will help spread awareness of the invaluable resources available to those living with cancer.

David Boyd at Roadside said “Macmillan Cancer Support is a charity close to many of our staff and customers’ hearts, some of whom have been directly affected by cancer, and by supporting such a worthy cause we hope to raise as much as we can to help make a difference.

Joanne Young, Senior Relationship Fundraising Manager of Macmillan Cancer Support said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been selected as Roadside Garage’s Charity of the Year 2024. As the charity is 98% funded by voluntary donations this partnership will have a huge impact.  Having already met a few of the staff at Roadside I am excited about their fundraising ideas for this year and can’t wait to get started with our partnership!

Macmillan Cancer Support is a national charity which aims to do whatever it takes to support people living with cancer and funding is needed now more than ever. Alongside their fundraising efforts, the charity also works to provide healthcare professionals with up-to-date resources, tools, information and training, as well as influencing decision makers and carrying out much needed research.
