To mark International Women’s Day 2022, Enterprise Causeway & Causeway Chamber have announced they will be hosting an in-person event ‘A Celebration of Enterprising Women.’
The free event, hosted by Sarah Travers, will feature a panel of trailblazing local women from the world of politics and business.
Jayne Taggart, of Enterprise Causeway said: “International Women’s Day 2022 is the perfect excuse for us to get together again with a good cup of coffee to celebrate our successes and be inspired by each other’s stories. It’s also the perfect opportunity to share our experiences of how we have overcome gender stereotypes, discrimination, and bias to achieve our personal goals and aspirations.”
The theme of International Women’s Day 2022 is ‘Break the Bias’ and women across Northern Ireland are invited to reflect on the possibility of a world free of bias, gender stereotypes and discrimination. Panellists at the event will be exploring these themes from their own perspectives. From the world of politics, the event will feature three local female MLAs, Claire Sugden, Cara Hunter and Caoimhe Archibald.
David Boyd, President of Causeway Chamber of Commerce said: “As well as welcoming our leading female politicians, we will also be hearing from local businesswomen, Olivia Burns, Naomi McGregor and Rachel Dillon. Their insight will make essential listening for women with big plans to start a business or for those who have already taken that step. We can’t wait to welcome you all on the night.”
This event is brought to you by Enterprise Causeway, Causeway Chamber and is supported by Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council.
